Bagpipe Workshop
Louise's 'Fun Learn to Play the Bagpipes Experience' for private guests and corporate groups is very informative and hands-on with lots of fun guaranteed. It is always a tremendous success! The length of the workshop can vary from 30 minutes to 2 hours to suit your event and number of guests taking part. For a 2 hour experience, Louise can host a 90 minute 'Bagpipe Workshop' followed by a 30 minute 'Learn to Ceilidh Dance Session' - a total blast!
The size of the workshop can be any number up to 100 guests, as Louise can provide 100 sterilised practice chanters in individual heat-sealed bags for each guest to use throughout the workshop. Additional sterilizer sprays designed for wood-wind instruments are also provided for extra reassurance, for guests to use should they so wish.
Guests are shown the scale on the chanter and some basic embellishments as well as breathing techniques and positioning before progressing on to the Great Highland Bagpipe. As Louise demonstrates how to play Scotland's national instrument playing her father's very special 95 year old Robertson Bagpipes, Louise provides another 2 additional sets of bagpipes for guests to try during the workshop.

Fun tartan wear, hats and lots of other extra props are provided for use throughout the workshop but we don't want to spoil the surprise and grand finale, by sharing too much information with you at this stage!!!
Louise's bagpipe experience can either be hosted at a venue of your choice, booked by you or, alternatively, Louise can recommend a top-class venue to suit your event and number of guests taking part. Louise often combines her workshop with a Whisky Tasting Experience and/or with Scottish Lunch & Dinner options at the stunning Scotch Malt Whisky Society Vaults venue in Leith, the port area of Scotland's capital city of Edinburgh. Edinburgh's Piper has hosted her 'Bagpipe & Whisky Experience' as a shore excursion for cruise ships visiting Scotland for almost 10 years and the reviews/feedback from the cruise lines, ships, shore excursion companies, crew and passengers has been simply fabulous! Welcome to Scotland!
Louise has hosted her Fun Learn to play the Bagpipes Experience on board cruise ships, at conferences, for DMC's, tour/travel companies, on TV, as a corporate team-building experience as well as at private/corporate celebratory events at home and abroad.
A gift and personalised Bagpipe Certificate of Completion for each guest taking part in the experience can also be added at an extra cost.
